                        Workshop on Credit Reporting for Microfinance Institutions

Yangon-based microfinance institutions met to discuss a credit reporting system for MFIs in Myanmar.

There are 175 MFIs registered in Myanmar that serve the estimated 70% of

  The meeting on (3/2018) License pre-scrutinizing Board of Microfinance Business Supervisory Committee (MBSC)

  was held on 10^th September, 2018, in Office No. 34, Nay Pyi Taw. In the meeting,

IFC Training on Analysis of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs)

         Mr. Vikram Kumar, Country Manager from International Finance Corporation (IFC) provided

  the “Training on Analysis of MFIs” on 6^th September 2018 at office No.34, Nay Pyi Taw.

  Director General of FRD gave the opening remarks at the opening ceremony of the training

Finscope Launch and MAP Refresh Diagnostic Stakeholder Workshop 2018

Financial Regulatory Department has been implementing Financial Inclusion Roadmap (2014-2020) in cooperation with United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).

In order to know Myanmar Financial Inclusion level, MAP Refresh Survey supported by UNCDF and DaNa Facility has already been carried out during January to March,

Practice Manager for East Asia Pacific FCI group from Financial Sector Development Program  at 5:00 p.m. at Building (26) on 12, September 2018.

The Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between the Office of Insurance Commission,

Thailand and Financial Regulatory Department of Ministry of Planning and Finance of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was held at 8:30am,

30^th of January,2018 in Hilton Hotel,Nay Pyi Taw.U Maung Maung Win,Deputy Minister, MoPF, all members of Insurance Business and Regulatory Board,

U Zaw Naing, Director General of Financial Regulatory Department, Dr Sandar Oo, Managing Director of  Myanma Insurance,U Thaung Han,

Ceremony for distributing Financial Literacy Booklet about Financial service products, saving, amortizing, spending equally was held in cooperation with UNOPS (LIFT Fund) at Building No.(34) Ministry of Planning and Finance on 12^th August, 2016.

Discussion knowledge about Insurance,State-owned Banks and microfinance supervised and regulated by Financial Regulatory Department was held with Sky-net Media on 17^th February 2017.
