Working Coordination Meeting of the National Single Window Implementation held

          The Working Coordination Meeting of the National Single Window Implementation was held this morning at the Department of Internal Revenue, Office No. (46) and attended and delivered by Dr. Kan Zaw, Committee Chairman, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue. 

          At the meeting, Union Minister highlighted that Myanmar has been implementing National Single Window to facilitate trade and free flows of goods in inter-ASEAN and globally. He noted that the National Single Window has to be implemented in line with the provisions of the General Annex to the Kyoto Protocol as revised by the World Customs Organization, Trade Facilitation Agreement of the World Trade Organization, and ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement. It aims to make clearance process of export and import timely with advanced technology in the System. For the smooth implementation the process, the National Single Window Implentmention Steering Committee was established by the Office of the National Defence and Security Council on 12 August 2025. To be implemented the process to be started by 2028, he highlighted that all trade-related departments and private sector have to coordinate effective participation in the System including necessary funding approvals, technical and legal procedures in a timely manner.

          Then, the Secretary of the Committee, Director General of the Customs Department presented the progress of the implementation of the System and matters to be implemented onward.

          Next, the committee Vice-chairmen and committee members discussed trade-related matters including banking, payment system, investment promotion, legal and technical matters to be implemented the system timely.          

          Then, the Committee Chairman made recommended and coordianted necessary actions and adjourned the meeting.
