Opening Ceremony of the Basic Tax Training Couse N0. (1/2026) held

The opening ceremony of the Basic Tax Training Course No. (1/2026) was held this afternoon at the Internal Revenue Department, Office No.(46) in Nay Pyi Taw.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Kan Zaw, Union Minister for Finance and Revenue, Daw Than Than Lin and U Han Win Aung, Deputy Ministers for Finance and Revenue, U Aung Thwin Oo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Heads of Departments, trainers and trainees.
At the ceremony, Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw highlighted that modern technologies and reforms are being implemented to improve the tax system all over the world.
He focused on that this training is specially organized as it is essential for employees from other related government departments to have tax knowledge and cooperation in order to successfully carry out tax-related processes. By working more closely together with respective departments, it will help collect tax revenue to meet its targets the country deserves.
He called for everyone to work together to ensure that every citizen understands their tax rights and responsibilities to create a clear and favourable tax environment for domestic and foreign investors.
It is learnt that (40) officials from the Ministry of National Planning, Ministry of Finance and Revenue, Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Commerce, and the Office of the Union Auditor General will attend the course and it will last for two weeks.
