Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) jointly organized “the workshop on Bond Market Development in Emerging East Asia” was held at Sule Shangri-la Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar on 11-12 August, 2017. The purpose of this workshop is to promote the capacity of policymaker for developing local currency bond market in Myanmar. In this workshop, Daw Tin May Oo, member of SECM discussed “the Opportunities and Challenges in Myanmar Bond Market Development”.

To strengthen corporate governance regulatory standards and practices in Myanmar, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between IFC , a member of the World Bank Group and the securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) was held on 17 March , 2017 at the Ministry of Planning and Finance in May Pyi Taw.
