Opening Ceremony of Financial Management and Accounting with EXCEL Course held

The opening ceremony of the Financial Management and Accounting with EXCEL Course was held this morning at the Public Financial Management Academy of the Ministry of Finance and Revenue.
The opening ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Kan Zaw, Deputy Minister Daw Than Than Lin, Deputy Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Aung Zeya, Heads of Departments, trainers, and trainees.
At the ceremony, Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw highlighted that nowaday, countries all over the world that can use digital technology in various fields are progressing and that digital information processes are being carried out in a balanced manner in various countries. He urged trainees that it is necessary to study and learn hard to be helpful and beneficial to the country and the ministry by applying technology in research actiivities based on statistical data. He highlighted that the ministry is providing training courses aimed at improving office management skills of the staff and enabling them to perform their duties more professionally. He also urged trainees to learn lectures and experiences carefully with a desire to learn themselves, strive to improve, and contribute to the departments they work for.
He also highlighted that the ministry is working diligently to implement e-Government systems to modernize and inprove the country’s financial management and ensure transparency, as per outlines set out in the Myanmar e-Government Master Plan. He shared the information that departments and organizations will continue to provide programming language courses and networking courses in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology in order to reduce dependence on third parties for business operations so that they can write produced their own software and manage their own IT infrastructure.
It is learnt that (30) officers and staff from the departments under the ministry will attend the course and it will last for four weeks.
