MOFR Union Minister receives Indian Ambassador 

Nay Pyi Taw, December 17

Union Minister for Finance and Revenue Dr. Kan Zaw received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Abhay Thakur at the Internal Revenue Department in Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon. 

During the Call, they cordially discussed bilateral cooperation between Myanmar and India, India’s assistance for the development of Myanmar and post-Mandalay earthquake reconstruction, rehabilitation and recovery activities, and further cooperation for financial stability of Myanmar. 

Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister Daw Than Than Lin, Joint Secretary Ms. Suja Kizhakkepat Menon of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Director General of Treasury Department, and officials.
