Union Minister for Planning and Finance, H.E U Soe Win visits YSX and SECM (8-10-2018)
On 8th October 2018 , H.E U Soe Win , Union Minister for Planning and Finance , accompanied by U Maung Maung, Win , Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance and Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar inspected the Stock Trading at Yangon Stock Exchange.
The “2017/2018 Knowledge Sharing Program with Myanmar Final Reporting Workshop” organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) and Korea Development Institute (KDI) was held for capital market development in Myanmar at Hilton Hotel, Naypyitaw, Myanmar on 24th August, 2018.
On 16th October 2017, Deputy Minister U Maung Maung Win Signing with SECT Secretary General Mr. Rapee Sucharitakul at the MOU signing ceremony between SECM and SECT in Yangon.
With the aim of developing Myanmar investment, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SECT) was accomplished on Monday night at Sule Shangri-La Hotel in Yangon.
Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) jointly organized “the workshop on Bond Market Development in Emerging East Asia” was held at Sule Shangri-la Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar on 11-12 August, 2017. The purpose of this workshop is to promote the capacity of policymaker for developing local currency bond market in Myanmar. In this workshop, Daw Tin May Oo, member of SECM discussed “the Opportunities and Challenges in Myanmar Bond Market Development”.
On 20th May 2017, the Seminar on Capital Market Development in Myanmar hosted by First Private Bank Ltd and Myanmar Securities Exchange Centre was held on Yangon Stock Exchange. In this seminar, U Htay chun , Member of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar and U Thet Tun Oo, Executive Senior Manager of Yangon Stock Exchange and Dr. Sein Maung, Chairman of the First Private Bank Ltd.

To strengthen corporate governance regulatory standards and practices in Myanmar, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between IFC , a member of the World Bank Group and the securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) was held on 17 March , 2017 at the Ministry of Planning and Finance in May Pyi Taw.
